This Policy only applies to personal data and other information collected by Theta Equity Partners (“Theta”) from (i) visitors to our website and (ii) Clients that use our Services. While providing our Services to Clients, we may receive information related to the Clients’ customers.

Theta as data processor

When providing our Services to Clients, we may need to receive information related to the Clients’ customers. When a Client chooses to use our services, we strictly follow the Client’s instructions in processing the Client’s data in accordance with the specific services that the Client has chosen.

Note that in relation to the processing of these personal data, the Client is considered as the data controller and Theta is considered as a data processor.

Our use of personal data on behalf of our Clients is governed by our contract with that Client and our general data processing terms and conditions.

What data do we collect and how do we collect it?

1) Theta collects the following data from the visitors of our website:

a) Data collected on the basis of consent

Newsletter:

Email address, Phone number: this data is provided by you and collected when you subscribe for our newsletter

Retention period: the aforementioned data is retained indefinitely so we can keep you informed until you unsubscribe

b) Data collected on the basis of legitimate interest

Based on our legitimate interests, we collect the following data for the purpose of running this website.

Statistics

The website uses Google Analytics, a service which transmits website traffic data to Google servers in the United States and allows us to notice trends to improve the user experience on our website. This build processes personal data such as: the unique User ID set by Google Analytics, the date and time, the title of the page being viewed, the URL of the page being viewed, the URL of the page that was viewed prior to the current page, the screen resolution, the time in local timezone, the files that were clicked on and downloaded, the links clicked on to an outside domain, the type of device, and the country, region, and city.

Retention period: 26 months. Once this time period has expired, Google will delete the data.

2) Theta may collect and process the following categories of personal data from our clients

  • Personal contact details (such as name, address, email address).
  • Information relating to the client’s orders and subscriptions (such as order history, information on subscriptions).

How will we use your data?

Theta collects your data so that we can:

  • Email you with our research articles, company updates, our marketing materials
  • Notice trends to improve the user experience on our website

Theta processes our clients’ customer data on behalf of our clients in order to:

  • Build statistical models of future customer behavior
  • Calculate customer lifetime value

Theta does not use your data for any other purposes or share it with third parties. Your Email address data may be pulled by mailing list services, such as MailChimp or HubSpot, in order to send you our newsletter. Your data is removed upon your request.
